Judy Snoddon calls herself a story teller rather than an author. In her self-published book “Finding Joy – A Mother’s Journey after Losing Two Sons,” she bares her soul with honesty, humour and compassion for life, not death. She hopes that her experiences will act as a tool to assist others with grief, depression and life’s choices.
Gardening began as an escape and a refuge but soon awoke within her a sense of the miracle of life and nature.
Helping and caring for her patients as she worked as a medical secretary for twenty-five years gave her life purpose and strength.
Water has always had a soothing, calming effect on Judy. She was fortunate to reside on picturesque Lake of Bays for over twenty years and run a B&B for seven of those years. These surroundings helped to inspire her to write.
The members of Muskoka Authors Association and the Baysville Writer’s circle have given her encouragement and support to keep putting words on paper.
At present Judy and her husband Bill have retired and live in Bracebridge. You can often find Judy enjoying the company of her many friends, walking or nurturing her gardens.
